Blending of Natural Rubber Latex and Laminating Dipping with Synthetic Latices

Manufacturer: How do I combine or blend both natural rubber latex and synthetic latices to achieve better products?

John Woon (Senior Latex Consultant): This is a big subject but I will briefly describe here how you could start your evaluation. This could be done by blending NR with synthetic rubbers such as polychloroprene and nitrile rubbers, for instance to improve oil resistance, gas permeation resistance and ozone resistance of NR. However this is done at the expense of losing the resilience and tensile strength of NR.  

You could also do "laminate dipping" using double dipping process where the formers are dipped in two different lattices.
