Latex Coagulum Problem

Manufacturer: We are always facing a lot of coagulum problem of our natural rubber latex. This has resulted in high rejection of our finished products. We would be very grateful if you could help us overcome this problems.

John Woon (Senior Latex Consultant): Please look into the followings:

1) Ensure that all the relevant parameters in your latex concentrate specification are adequate in protecting the latex from bacterial attack and in ensuring the latex quality.

2) Ensure that no excessive shear is used in the stirring of the latex.

3) Ensure that the latex is stored away from direct sunlight.

4) Ensure that only clean deionised water is used for diluting the latex

5) Ensure adequate filtration for the latex.

6) Ensure that the latex compound in storage tank and dip tank is not exposed to elevated temperatures.
