Medical Glove Demand for 2009 Remains Strong

Whilst the world enters the worst economic crisis of the century, with rapid increases in layoffs and cutbacks (including bankruptcies) by companies, and major stock market losses and market volatility, the medical glove industry sees a bright 2009 with the growth of the glove demand remaining very positive at 8 to 10% per year.

Historically, the medical glove industry is recession proof due to the ever growing medical market that demands strict regulatory health care standards.

Malaysia remains the major player in the world supply of medical gloves, having captured about 60% of the global market.
