Insight into carbon nanotube formation

Everyone in the polymer industry should know what a carbon nanotube is. But most of us have not actually seen it being formed. Wouldn’t it be marvelous to be able to observe this?

A team of scientists, including researchers at Cambridge University, have actually successfully produced live video footage that shows how carbon nanotubes are forming by nucleating around miniscule particles of nickel.
